INVISALIGN

There have been many advancements in Invisalign technology that make this type of treatment suitable for most patients. Although Invisalign is the most common brand mentioned, there are now several other clear aligner companies, each offers unique advantages in materials and price.  At your consultation appointment, Dr. Anderson & Dr. Swapp will discuss your options and identify which one is best for you. Regardless of whether you use braces or clear aligners to straighten your teeth, Dr. Anderson & Dr. Swapp will ensure that your final result is amazing.

WHAT IS IT?

Invisalign (clear aligner treatment) is an alternative orthodontic treatment, usually ideal for teens and adults. A series of nearly invisible aligners are worn to help shift teeth into the proper position. Aligners are created by using custom molds of the patient’s teeth which are scanned and then created with 3D computer imaging technology. Dr. Anderson & Dr. Swapp will then create a custom treatment plan to get your desired smile.

WHY WOULD I WANT IT?

Aside from Invisalign being nearly invisible, they can be removed to eat, drink, brush, and floss! This means you can continue to eat all the foods you love without any restrictions or worrying about food getting stuck in your wires and brackets. The aligners are typically more comfortable than traditional braces, so you should be able to wear them for the recommended 20 to 22 hours a day without much effort. Invisalign aligners can also be worn for those active in sports and if you're required to wear a protective mouthguard, simply remove your aligners and you're good to go!

GETTING STARTED WITH CLEAR ALIGNERS

During your consultation, Dr. Anderson & Dr. Swapp will review the clear aligner process, how clear aligners work, and what your specific orthodontic problems (bite problems, jaw discrepancies, gum problems, etc.) are. Costs and financial arrangements are presented and discussed, and we will address any concerns you may have.
